Five of family die in wall collapse

LUCKNOW - Five members of a family, including three children, were killed and two critically injured when a wall of their house collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district Wednesday, police said.

Two women and three children aged 2-10 years died in the wall collapse in Telian locality.

“Preliminary investigations indicate the wall collapsed due to dampness following heavy rains in the area,” police inspector Kushal Pal Singh told reporters in Moradabad, some 350 km from Lucknow.

“The two women injured in the accident are being treated at a hospital. Their condition is said to be critical,” he said.
