Mother who killed kids to elope arrested

JIND - A 35-year-old woman in Haryana who killed her two minor children to elope with her 20-year-old lover has been arrested, police said Sunday.

Police also arrested Kulwanti Devi alias Babli’s lover Ram Meher, also a resident of Julhera village and a cousin of the woman’s husband, Dharamvir Singh.

Police said the couple boarded a bus to Ambala after which they strangled her two kids, Satnam (5) and Preeti (3). The bodies were dumped in a field near the Ambala railway station Sep 1.

The couple then went to Chakuludana village and started living as husband and wife. They were arrested after some residents became suspicious and alerted the police.
