Teenager tortures man for gossiping about lesbian lover

SYDNEY - An 18-year-old woman tied a man her age to a chair with an electrical cord, doused him with kerosene, forced him to eat dog food and hit him on the head with a broom for allegedly gossiping about her and her lesbian girlfriend.

Judge Frank Gucciardo of a county court Tuesday said Georgia Bucknell forced the 18-year-old man to swallow the dog food.

“This is what dogs eat. F***** eat it,” the Herald Sun quoted her as yelling at the man.

Bucknell carried out the attack along with two other woman and a man because she believed the man, whom she described as her one-time best friend, had been “gossiping” about her and her relationship with another woman.

The attackers stole a number of items from the man and forced him to disclose his ATM pin number before robbing his bank account of $300.

“This was a cruel, degrading and terrifying ordeal of fear and violence which is intolerable to any right thinking member of the community,” Gucciardo said.

He sentenced Bucknell to a two-year term in a youth justice centre, but said her detention would be re-assessed in six to nine months.
