Maoist killed in Jharkhand

RANCHI - A Maoist was killed and a rebels’ camp was destroyed in Jharkhand’s Khuti district Monday, police said.

“One Maoist was killed in a gun battle with police in a jungle under Arki police station of Khuti district. After the gun battle, a Maoist camp was destroyed,” R.K. Mallik, Jharkhand police spokesperson, told IANS.

Police recovered illegally made rifles, revolvers, live cartridges, wireless sets and other materials from the Maoists’ camp in Khuti district, around 35 km from Ranchi.
