Fire in railway office in Lucknow

LUCKNOW - A fire broke out in the Northern Railway divisional manager’s office here Wednesday, an official said. No one was injured in the incident.
“The fire broke out in the divisional railway manager’s office in Hazratganj locality. The police and fire-fighting officials had to get the office evacuated,” Lucknow Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Tiwari told reporters here.
“With the timely intervention of our officials, the fire was put out within 30-45 minutes. No major loss of property has been reported in the fire,” he said.
Though the exact cause behind the incident was yet to be ascertained, officials said the fire broke out due to an electrical short-circuit.
Tiwari could not confirm whether the divisional railway manager was present in his office at the time of the incident.
