LUCKNOW - Five Bangladeshi nationals were arrested Monday at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport here with fake passports, police said.

The five men, who are being interrogated by police and intelligence officials, had managed to get the fake passports from Kathmandu in Nepal.

“The five reached here today from Saudi Arabia on an Oman Airways flight,” Additional Director General (law and order) Brij Lal told reporters here.

Preliminary enquiry revealed that the five had travelled from Lucknow to Saudi Arabia on the same passports.

According to a police inspector Arun Kumar, investigations are on to find out whether the arrested people have any kind of criminal background or links with any clandestine outfits.
