LUCKNOW - Four mutilated bodies were found lying near a railway track in Uttar Pradesh’s Faizabad district Monday morning, police said.
The bodies were recovered from near the railway track in Faizabad’s Rudauli town, about 150 km from here.
“We are yet to establish whether it’s the case of murder, suicide or accidental death. As all the four bodies have been badly damaged, we are facing difficulty in identifying the bodies,” police inspector Anil Pandey told reporters in Faizabad.
“We definitely cannot rule out foul play behind the incident. It may be possible that the four have been killed and later their bodies were thrown on the tracks in order to give the accident angle to the entire incident,” he said.
Police believe one of the four found dead was a native of Bihar.
“One of the four is wearing trousers with a tag of a Bihar-based tailor. We need to gather more information about the native place of other three young men,” said Pandey.
All the four are believed to be between the ages of 20-30.
