GANDHINAGAR - The hearing on the bail application of former Gujarat minister of state for home Amit Shah was Wednesday postponed till Aug 17 by a special Central Bureau of Investigation court.
On Wednesday, the hearing was re-scheduled after Shah’s advocate Mitesh Amin informed the court that senior Supreme Court advocate, Ram Jethmalani, would not be able to appear on his behalf.
Amin pleaded for a new date and the court fixed the hearing Aug 17.
The hearing on the CBI application seeking custody of Rajendra Jirawala, the owner of a farm house near Gandhinagar, where Kausarbi, wife of Sohrabuddin Sheikh killed in a staged shootout in 2005, was allegedly lodged and later killed would be taken up Aug 18. Jirawala is in judicial custody.
