ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s Sindh province was on high alert Saturday after floods wreaked havoc in the country leaving at least 1,600 people dead, a media report said.

At least four districts are on high alert as flood waters are expected to hit Sindh Saturday, Dawn reported on its website quoting the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).

Over half a million people had been evacuated in Sindh, it said.
