Five drug traffickers hanged in Iran

BERLIN - Five convicted drug traffickers were hanged Saturday in Iran, Fars news agency reported.

The five were hanged inside the prison of the south-western city of Ahvaz after the Supreme Court confirmed the death sentences.

Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking of drugs weighing more than five kg are among crimes punishable by death in Iran.
