NH worker killed after going through paper roller
CLAREMONT, N.H. — Firefighters say a worker at a New Hampshire paper company died after being pulled through a paper roller machine.
They say 34-year-old Leo Gonyea of Enfield was found under the machine by a co-worker at APC Paper Co. in Claremont around 8:50 a.m. Monday.
Fire Chief Peter Chase says Gonyea was out of the machine but suffering from cardiac arrest when rescue crews arrived. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Chase says it’s not clear how Gonyea became trapped in the machine. Federal workplace safety officials are investigating.
