Woman hurt in freak hospital accident

PANAJI - A 30-year-old woman was stable Friday after a heavy photo-frame fell on her head in a Goa hospital when she accompanied a friend to an operation theatre, police said

Prabha Lata of Assagao, around 20 km from here, was herself hospitalized and given 13 stitches on her scalp following the freak accident.

The incident occurred even as Goa’s legislators debated the poor state of affairs in the Mapusa-based government hospital.
