Brothers arrested for killing sister’s boyfriend

RANCHI - Enraged over their sister’s love affair with a classmate, four brothers thrashed the boy badly and killed him in Jharkhand’s steel city Bokaro, police said Sunday. The four accused have been arrested.

Virat, a Class 12 student of Bokaro Public School, Saturday went to meet his girlfriend Nupur.

The girl’s brothers, who were at home, got angry at seeing Virat. They then beat him black and blue.

Virat died and his body was dumped by the brothers at the house where he was staying.

Police have arrested all the four brothers and charged them with murder. The accused have reportedly admitted to their crime and have been shifted to jail.

Virat, who hailed from Begusarai in Bihar, was residing in a rented house in Sector 3 of Bokaro. Nupur resided in Sector 4 of Bokaro, around 130 km from Ranchi.
