BERLIN - A 28-year-old man has admitted to German police that he killed his parents, dismembered them with a chainsaw and stored the body parts in the family’s garden shed.
Neighbours who wondered at the absence of the father, 67, and mother, 60, called police in the town of Rathenow, west of Berlin.
Police said Wednesday it seemed the parents had been pressuring the stay-at-home son to get a job as he was making no progress with a law degree.
He told police he vainly tried to burn the body parts after the mid-June killing at the house. He is likely to face manslaughter charges.
