BELLEVUE (GaeaTimes.com)- A man on fire was seen walking the streets in the 14000 block of Southeast 36th Street in Bellevue this weekend. The bystanders in that part of the street quickly helped to put out the fire and immediately called the 911 for help, however their efforts were in vain after it was reported that the man on fire died hours after being taken to hospital.
The fire department authorities of Bellevue were quick to take action in the case, promptly arriving at the place of accident and transferring the man on fire to the Harborview Medical Center in the city. However the cause of the fire is still unknown and Lieutenant Eric Keenan, the spokesman for the Bellevue Fire Department has labeled the incident as “mysterious”. The fire fighters who arrived at the site of accident said that a gas can was located close to where the man on fire was spotted first, however there were no signs in the place which could suggest that the fire was a result of something present in his workplace.
Investigation in the case is still on. The investigators have revealed the identity of the man on fire through certain papers derived from his wallet that was in the pockets of the burning man. However no information related to his identity has been revealed to the media, apart from the fact that the man on fire was in his 40s. The case has been handed over to the Bellevue Police Department. Eric Keenan has issued a statement where he says that the circumstances leading to the accident are still not clear to the authorities.
