Air India engineer commits suicide

MUMBAI - An Air India engineer Monday committed suicide at his residence in suburban Santa Cruz here, a police official said.

Ritik Bhattacharya, 30, was an aircraft maintenance engineer. “He was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his house in Kalina area of Santa Cruz (E) this afternoon,” said a police officer at Kalina Police Station.

Bhattacharya left behind a note saying no one should be held responsible for his death.

Bhattacharya was reportedly transferred to Goa and was preparing to move there.
