Businessman shot dead in Lucknow

LUCKNOW - A businessman was shot dead at the Vidhayak Niwas colony, where many Uttar Pradesh legislators live, over a financial dispute, police said Thursday.
Shalabh Sharma, 32, who was into a small-time financial business, was shot dead late Wednesday in Vidhayak Niwas colony, following a verbal spat with four businessmen brothers.
“Initially, there were some heated arguments between Shalabh and Narayan Shukla, one of the four brothers. While the arguments were on, one of them shot dead Shalabh,” police inspector Ajit Singh Chauhan told reporters.
“We are enquiring into the matter of how these businessmen were living in a colony meant for legislators,” he added.
Police teams have been constituted to nab the four brothers, who escaped after the incident.
