Bellevue Iowa 4th July Parade: 1 Killed, 4 critically hurt

San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) The color of 4th July celebration faded away when a 60 year old man died in the Mississippi river town. On Sunday morning this mishap took place in Bellevue Iowa parade. Besides this death, four other people were also critically injured. Two runway horses attached to a wagon came towards the crowd and as a result total 24 people were injured. Out of them 13 were children. The crowd was standing along the river side to watch the heritage parade. At 11-15 AM a pair of horses attached to a wagon bolted into the crowd. Everything was going fine in that parade before the incident happened.

According to police and fire officials this incident happened when one of the two horses rubbed other and its bridle became loose. The parade was taking place at Bellevue and those people who were sitting and standing were mainly injured. In that list there were children as well as adults. A 2 years child was also hit by the horse. There are multiple fractures in his body and the condition of his lung is also very serious. The child is one of those patients who are in critical condition.

There were two passengers in the wagon who were turned out when it flipped. The authority confirmed that the number of injured people is more than 20 and they were injured in a way such that they had to be taken by stretchers to the hospitals. Ten people were treated at the Mercy medical centre, nine of whom were children. Six children were released later.
