I didn’t hit biker, I helped him: Mika

MUMBAI - Singer Mika, who allgedly hit a biker with his car in the Four Bungalows area Sunday morning, has denied the reports, saying he in fact helped the victim by taking him to the hospital.
“I was travelling with Rahul Vaidya after finishing a recording when we saw a Mercedes that I presume must have rammed into a motor bike. A boy lay injured on the road and there was a small crowd that had surrounded them,” Mika told IANS.
“The car driver was still inside the car and seemed to be in shock. The crowd was afraid to take the victim to the hospital as they feared getting involved in a police case. So, I decided to take him to the hospital,” he added.
The singer took the victim along with the car driver to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
“On the way, I called the victim’s mother and informed her about the accident. In fact, the doctor told us that getting him to the hospital saved his life as they were able to stop the blood loss in time. The boy is still in ICU as we speak,” he revealed.
“I took the accused to the police station, they have a case registered against him,” he added.
In spite of doing a good deed, Mika was baffled to know that some people were accusing him for the accident.
“Some people are pointing fingers at me! Clearly, no good deed goes unpunished in this world! But if needed, I would help out anyone in the future as well,” said an angry Mika.
