LONDON - Two British teenagers have been arrested for selling bank account details hacked from personal computers across the world through internet.

Details of more than 65,000 bank accounts hacked from personal computers worldwide were allegedly sold on an internet site. At least 8 million pounds were emptied from the accounts, The Sun reported.

According to police, 8,000 crooked “customers” were also offered advice on how to use card details fraudulently to buy goods, transfer cash and call sex phonelines.

The two schoolboys - Nick Webber and Ryan Thomas - aged 18 and 17 years, respectively, believed to have met via a social networking site when they were 16. They hatched a plot to break into computers with “malicious” me, the police said.

The hackers are said to have offered American account details for $3, EU ones for $5 and UK ones for $7.
