GHAZIABAD - Police in Ghaziabad Tuesday found that five men had been enjoying official security cover on the basis of forged government documents.

The case came to light when police received a letter from the state home department saying that no government orders were issued to provide official security to Shyam Vir Singh, Vikas Singh, Rahul Singh, Sajid Ali and Shahid Quereshi.

The Ghaziabad police referred these cases for verification after getting suspicious.

“A criminal case has been registered against the five people,” said Superintendent of Police (City) A.K. Vijaita.

Shyamvir Singh and Sajid Ali availed security from December 2008 onwards, Vikas Singh from November 2009 onwards, Rahul Singh availed security April 2008 onwards, while Shahid Quereshi availed of it from October 2008.
