PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman says three people suffered minor injuries after a small plane got stuck in tree near a Massachusetts airport.

FAA spokeswoman Arlene Salac (SAHL’-ik) says the plane was headed to Plymouth Municipal Airport at around 5:15 p.m. Saturday after doing aerial survey work. But she says something went wrong and it got stuck in a tree in someone’s backyard nearby.

Salac says rescuers were able to remove the pilot and passengers, and no one was seriously hurt.

The multiengine Cessna is registered to Christopher Cox of Hampton, Ga. Cox tells The Boston Globe that he sold the plane last month to Oasis Flight Services.

It wasn’t immediately clear where the company was based. A telephone listing for it couldn’t be found.

Salac had no information on what caused the crash.
