Australian woman found dead in Navi Mumbai hotel

MUMBAI - A 45-year-old Australian woman was found dead in the compound of a Navi Mumbai hotel Tuesday, police said.
The woman, identified as Shollot Karima, was found dead in the compound of Hotel Celebration in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
Karima had reportedly been staying at the hotel since June 11 and is said to have fallen from the window of her sixth floor room.
Police reached the hotel after getting an anonymous call about the incident.
“After preliminary investigations, it was learnt that she was standing on a chair near the window,” said senior police inspector Dilip Kadam.
“We are investigating as to whether it was an accident or a case of suicide,” he added.
