PORT BLAIR, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- A major earthquake has hit the Indian Ocean along India’s Nicobar Islands on early Sunday morning, according to reports that have surfaced. The U.S. Geological Survey has declared that the magnitude of the earthquake has been measured to be 7.5 on the Richter scale and it struck at a depth of around 35 kilometers at a distance of about 155 kilometers on the western part of India’s Nicobar Islands.
