Man commits suicide in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD - Troubled over his wife’s illicit relations with his friend, a 30-year-old man commit suicide here Saturday, police said.

Raj Kumar alias Raj Pal Pandey, a resident of Ram Park Extension here, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room around 8 a.m., police said.

Raj Kumar was living with his wife Sanju, 28, and their two sons - six-year-old Rohit, and four-year-old Banti.

Their two other sons - eight-year-old Uday and nine-year-old Abhishek stayed in Bihar with their grandparents.

Raj Kumar was friends with Pradeep, an electrician in the neighbourhood, who used to frequent his house regularly. Pradeep developed illicit relations with Raj Kumar’s wife Sanju, police said.

The couple had frequent quarrels over the matter. Troubled over the issue, Raj Kumar commit suicide, police added.

“We are waiting for post mortem examination report on the basis of which an FIR would be registered. We have detained Sanju and Pradeep,” Superintendent of Police A.K. Vijeta said.
