Girl killed in wall collapse in Mumbai

MUMBAI - An eight-year-old girl was killed and a woman and another girl were injured as a wall came crashing down at Antop Hill in central Mumbai here Tuesday, an official said.

“A woman and two girls were trapped inside the debris after a wall came crashing down in Kamrajnagar area of Antop Hill this (Tuesday) afternoon,” a fire brigade officer said.

“They were rushed to the Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, Sion, where eight-year-old Nandini Chinnapa Devendragirl was pronounced dead on admission,” an official of the hospital said.

Reema, 12, and Jaya Krishnathan Devendra, 33, sustained head and hip injuries respectively. They are getting treatment, he added.
