Woman found dead near Metro station in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 45-year-old woman was found dead outside a Metro station in in central Delhi, police said Tuesday.

The body was found on Ramakrishna Ashram Marg.

According to the police, the body looks like that of a beggar woman. “We still need to investigate further to ascertain her identity,” a police officer said.

“The woman must have died because of the scorching heat and unavailability of water and shelter as no suspicious cuts or marks were found on her body,” the officer added.

The body has been sent to a mortuary in case someone claims it, police said.
