Three robbers held in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Three men, caught while robbing a man of his money on the road, were arrested from Mahindra Park area in north Delhi after they threw stones at and injured a policeman, an official said Tuesday.

Suresh, Navin and Deepak were nabbed when they were trying to rob a person around 11.30 p.m. Monday, police said.

“He (victim) was stopped at the red light in Mahendra Park. Four people stopped him and took cash from him,” a police official said.

Policemen on patrol tried to catch the four men, but they tried to scape by pelting stones at them, injuring one official.

Eventually, the police nabbed three of them. The fourth robber managed to escape.

“The fourth accused was identified as Pradeep Kumar and we are trying to track him,” the official said.

During interrogation, the police found out that the three arrested robbers were drug addicts and unemployed.
