Flood relief telethon raises $1.8M for Tenn.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Donations from a national concert and telethon for Tennessee flood relief have reached $1.8 million.
The event aired live Sunday night from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on the GAC Network.
Performances were by Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, CeCe Winans, Keb’ Mo’, Jaci Velasquez, Randy Montana and Will Hoge.
Money from the telethon is going to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. At least 2,000 homes were destroyed or damaged in Nashville by the deadly flooding that struck Tennessee May 1-2. Damages have been estimated at $1.5 billion and climbing.
