JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck the Indonesian province of West Java Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of injury or damage, officials said.
The quake took place at 6:59 p.m. (1159 GMT), at a depth of 13 km about 250 km south-east of Jakarta, the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
It was the latest in a series of earthquakes to rock Indonesia in recent weeks. No tsunami warning was issued.
