Indian Meteorological Department Forecasts Andhra Pradesh Cyclone

ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Indian Meteorological Department forecasts that a major cyclonic storm is all set to hit the Bay of Bengal coastal stretch of Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, the Indian Meteorological Department said that there has been a huge atmospheric change in a span of 24 hours from Monday and a heavy depression has been noted over the southwest Bay of Bengal. The area where the depression was discovered is located at a distance of 930 km east-southeast of the state of Chennai.
The impending cyclonic storm was detected by the NWP (Numerical Weather Prediction) models which have detected the formation of the depression that accounts for the storm which is all set to hit Andhra Pradesh latest by Tuesday evening. Following the reports of the Indian Meteorological Department, the state government has been informed about the same so that they can plan their resources on an earlier note. The official bulletin of Indian Meteorological Department said that squally winds traveling at a speed of 45-55 kmph has been witnessed over the coastal stretches of Andhra Pradesh.
It was also said that the following two days shall witness a rough sea and a fair warning has been issued to all fishermen in the nearby area who has been advised to keep off the sea during this period. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Andhra Pradesh will be the second one to experience early monsoons after heavy showers which have already started in Andaman. The officials of Indian Meteorological Department are of the opinion that the recent depression shall follow the very same track when “Aila” had taken a heavy toll with its sudden hit over Orissa and West Bengal after the state witnessed a heavy session of summer heat.
