Newly-wed woman commits suicide in outer Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 21-year-old newly-wed woman allegedly committed suicide in her residence in Buddh Vihar in outer Delhi early Monday, police said.

“Dolly was found hanging from the ceiling of her bathroom. Her body was detected by her husband Chetan around 6 a.m.,” a senior police official said.

Dolly and Chetan were married in January this year.

“Dolly was apparently depressed over a fight with her husband, which may have led her to take this extreme step,” he said.

Police have registered a case and an inquiry by a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) has also been ordered.
