2 Nigerians held for using cloned credit cards

NEW DELHI - Two Nigerian nationals were arrested here on charges of using cloned credit cards to buy expensive items, police said Friday.

Dare and Kehinde were arrested Monday while they were using cloned credit cards to pay a bill at a south Delhi mall, a police officer said.

“They chose luxury shoes, perfumes, T-Shirts worth Rs.111,000 at the mall. They were using cloned credit cards of ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) H.G.S. Dhaliwal.

Dhaliwal said they used to steal credit cards and their third accomplice Allaje used to change the electronic strip of the card used for swiping the card.
