NEW DELHI - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Thursday raided offices of a perfume manufacturer in the capital and registered a case against him and his associates for allegedly selling duplicate perfumes.

A release from the nodal investigating agency said material worth Rs.2 crore was seized from the offices of Inderjeet Singh and a case under different sections of Indian Penal Code, the Drugs and Cosmetic Act besides the Trade Marks Act has been registered against him and his associates.

Singh and his associates were running their units at several places in the capital, including Vishnu Garden, Bagh Kare Khan, Kishanganj and Narsingh Garden, the release added.

It said the factory located at Vishnu Garden was the main manufacturing unit which produced and supplied about 50 litres of perfume.

“These are organised economic crimes which are being perpetrated in collusion with the government officials,” the agency added.
