10 people electrocuted in Bihar

PATNA - At least 10 people were electrocuted and over two dozen suffered serious burn injuries near Satpura village in Bihar’s Vaishali district Thursday afternoon when the truck they were riding in hit a high voltage overhead wire, a district official said.

Vaishali District Magistrate Minhaj Alam confirmed the death of 10 people. The victims were returning from a funeral.

The government has announced a compensation of Rs.1.5 lakh to the kin of those killed in the incident, the official said.
