Four killed in Delhi accident

NEW DELHI - Four young men were killed Sunday after the car they were travelling in hit an electric pole and turned turtle near Ansal Plaza mall in south Delhi, police said.
“All four persons died on the spot after their speeding car hit an electric pole and turned turtle. The car rolled over many times before coming to a halt,” a police officer said.
The incident took place at around 12.15 a.m. when the four men were travelling from Panchsheel towards August Kranti road in their Hyundai Accent car.
The deceased were identified as Sarabjit Singh, 23, Amarjit Singh, 30, Taranjit Singh, 26, and Gurlin Singh, 24. “They were relatives,” the officer added.
The police didn’t confirm if the men were under the influence of alcohol.
“Three youths were residents of Gautam Nagar in Delhi while Taranjit Singh was a resident of Jalandhar (in Punjab),” the police officer said.
