Fire on 7th floor of Delhi building

NEW DELHI - A fire broke out Friday on the seventh floor of a building housing government offices at Khan Market in New Delhi, a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said.

“We got to know about the fire incident at 10:10 a.m. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot,” the official said.

According to the official, “the fire was on the seventh floor of Lok Nayak Bhavan on Lodhi road. It was doused within 20 minutes.”

“The fire started in an air conditioner due to an electrical short-circuit. No one was injured,” the official said.
