NEW DELHI - A man has been arrested in central Delhi for misusing the national emblem by illegally printing it on his visiting card, police said Tuesday.

Mohmmad Rashid, 24, a resident of Darya Ganj, was arrested Monday. He had illegally printed the national emblem on his visiting card of Crime Action Society, police said.

According to police, Rashid used to meet the family members of people under arrest and used to demand money on the pretext of getting them released on bail.

\”He sought money to get bail for the arrested people, claiming he knew mediapersons and high ranking police officials,\” a police official said.

Acting on a complaint filed by a victim who was duped of Rs.115,000 on the pretext of getting bail for his relatives, police have registered a case under the Emblems and Names (Prevention Of Improper Use) Act, 1950.
