Woman burnt to death as car catches fire

NEW DELHI - A 27 year-old woman was burnt to death here after her car caught fire, a police officer said Friday.

Simran Kaur, a resident of Karol Bagh, was in central Delhi’s Rohini sector-16 when her car caught fire after an electrical short circuit.

A Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said: “We received a call about the incident around 11:50 a.m.”

“The incident occurred due to an electrical short circuit in the car which got locked as it has a central locking system,” the police officer said.
