Series of roadside bombs kills 6 in western Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraqi officials say a series of roadside bombs targeting the homes of policemen has killed 6 people in western Iraq near the city of Ramadi.
The explosions struck the town of Khalidiya, 15 miles (25 kilometers) east of Ramadi. Ten people were wounded.
The information on casualties came from a police officer in Khalidiya and an official with the Interior Ministry. Both declined to be identified because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
A police officer in Khalidiya said the explosions targeted the houses of a police officer, an investigator and a policeman in the Khalidiya area. It was not known whether those targeted were among the casualties.
