Thai govt says grenade blasts came from protesters
BANGKOK — The Thai government has said that a deadly grenade attack in downtown Bangkok was launched from an encampment of anti-government protesters.
Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said in a Thursday night statement broadcast on all Thai channels that the assailants used a M-79 grenade launcher in their attacks.
One person was killed and more than 70 wounded in the explosions which involved at least five grenades.
