Schoolboy commits suicide in old Delhi

NEW DELHI - An 18-year-old schoolboy allegedly committed suicide in Chandni Chowk area of old Delhi, police said Tuesday.

Akash, a Class tenth student, was found hanging from a ceiling hook in his room by his elder brother.

“We got to know about the incident at 8:30 a.m. and our team rushed to the spot,” a police official said.

Akash lived with his father Madanmohan and two brothers. He lost his mother six years ago.

“We are investigating the matter. The post-mortem examination report is expected soon,” the police officer added.
