Polish President Lech Kaczynski Plane Crashes: 87 killed

SMOLENSK, RUSSIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife are feared dead in a tragic plane accident. A plane with 87 people on board including Poland’s President Lech Kaczynski crashed near a Russian airport.
The plane was heading towards Smolensk airport in western Russia, where Polish leader was going to participate on commemoration ceremonies, mourning for victims of the Katyn massacre.
The crash occurred about 1.5 km from Smolensk airport in a foggy conditions. According to report, it clipped the tops of the trees, crashed down and broke into pieces. There were no survivors in the crash, said Sergei Antufiev, the regional governor of Smolensk.
