ANAHEIM, Calif. — Authorities say a freight train collided with a car in Southern California, critically injuring two men in the vehicle.
The BNSF train and the car collided shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Anaheim.
Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg McKeown says the car was destroyed and firefighters had to cut one of the two victims out of the wreckage. The driver and passenger were hospitalized in critical condition.
Nobody on the train was hurt.
McKeown says the accident also knocked down a power pole but there was no fire.
