Gang burgles garments shop

NEW DELHI - A gang of four men Wednesday broke into a garments store in south Delhi and escaped with valuables worth Rs.5 lakh, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place around 6 a.m. near the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi.

Four men came in a car and broke open the shutter and smashed the glass door of Fusion Wear shop and took away valuables worth Rs.5 lakh, said a senior police officer after questioning the security guards.

“When I arrived at the shop, I found the shutter locks and the glass doors broken,” Gurmeet Singh, the owner of the shop, told IANS.
