Man shot dead in central Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 28-year-old man was shot dead Sunday in central Delhi due to personal enemity, police said, adding two people have been identified as suspects.

According to the police, the victim Dilip was from the Punajabi basti in Anand Parbat area.

“Dilip was shot at around 2.45 a.m. Sunday while on his way home in the area. The two attackers, who fled from the spot, have been identified as Devendra and Chandar,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Delhi) Vivek Kishore told IANS.

According to police, Dilip was rushed to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A murder case has been registered.

Kishore said the two suspects lived in the same area and it was personal enmity that led to the murder.
