Two nabbed in BPO employee rape case: Delhi Police

NEW DELHI - Two of the five men accused in the rape of a 30-year-old BPO employee in Dhaula Kuan locality here last week have been arrested, Delhi Police said.
“Two people have been arrested in the case. The vehicle which was used for the crime has also been recovered. And the remaining three accused have been identified,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said.
According to an official, the vehicle used by the five rapists to abduct the victim, who belongs to the northeast, was a tempo with a Haryana number.
Earlier, four men were detained for questioning.
On Nov 23, the BPO staffer from Mizoram was abducted by five men and gangraped in a moving goods carrier.
She was abducted soon after being dropped along with another girl, 100 metres from her home, by her office vehicle in Dhaula Kuan area in south Delhi late at night.
The men then drove all the way to Mongolpuri in north Delhi and dumped her there after raping her.
Police said investigations were on in full swing with 15 special teams investigating the case. Two sketches of the suspects have been released, several suspects are being questioned and the statements of three witnesses being recorded.
According to police, CCTV footage has been looked into minutely and the mobile phone records of suspects residing in Mongolpuri area checked.
