NEW DELHI - Two of the five men accused of raping a 30-year-old BPO employee here have been arrested and a third has surrendered in Haryana, Delhi Police said Thursday.

The police arrested Shamshad and Usman, both in their early 20s, from Haryana’s Mewat district Wednesday night. One of their accomplices, who was jailed two days ago in a cow slaughtering case, surrendered in a Ballabgarh court Thursday.

On Nov 23, the BPO staffer from Mizoram was abducted by five men and gangraped in a moving goods carrier.

She was abducted soon after being dropped along with another girl, 100 metres from her home, by her office vehicle in Dhaula Kuan area in south Delhi late at night.

The men then drove all the way to Mongolpuri in north Delhi and dumped her there after raping her.

Police said investigations were on in full swing with 15 special teams investigating the case. Two sketches of the suspects have been released, several suspects are being questioned and the statements of three witnesses being recorded.

According to police, CCTV footage has been looked into minutely and the mobile phone records of suspects residing in Mongolpuri area checked.
