Kidnapper duo arrested in Haryana

PANCHKULA - Two kidnappers, including a bank employee, who kidnapped the son of a Chandigarh-based hotelier, have been arrested here, police said Wednesday.
Nandan Nagpal, 20, was abducted by three persons in June this year, police said.
“After abducting Nandan, the accused took him to Bathinda and demanded Rs.3 crore from his father. They were helped by a woman who knew the duo,” Panchkula superintendent of police Maneesh Chaudhary told reporters here, some 10 km from Chandigarh.
The boy was released three days after the abduction, and no ransom was paid, he said, adding that the woman remained untraced.
The arrested were identified as Daljeet Singh and Kampal Singh.
Daljeet, a post graduate, is an employee of Axis Bank in Muktsar town of Punjab. Kampal, a graduate, is a farmer from the same town.
