Attacked by ‘devil’, 11 jump out of window

Paris, Oct 24 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Eleven members of a family jumped out of a window at their home in the outskirts of Paris, when they thought they were being attacked by a “devil”. One of the people - a four-month-old girl - died in the incident.

The incident took place in La Verriere town, when a woman mistook her African-born husband, who was naked at that time, for a “devil” and began crying loudly, waking up the other people who stayed in the house.

The man had woken up at night to feed their infant daughter.

A clash with the relatives broke out subsequently, and the man received a knife injury and was turned out of doors. His attempt to break into the house scared his family members and 11 of them jumped out of the window.

They were taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save the life of the infant girl.
